Who runs Nana
Nana is operated by [COMPANY NAME — add once incorporated], United Kingdom. References to "we", "us", or "Nana" in these terms mean that company.
What Nana is
Nana is an AI-powered cooking education app. It is designed to help people learn to cook with more confidence by providing guidance, suggestions, and step-by-step coaching.
Nana is not a professional chef, nutritionist, or food safety adviser. The guidance it provides is for general educational and entertainment purposes. You should use your own judgment when preparing food, particularly regarding allergens, food safety, and dietary requirements.
Your account and access code
When you subscribe, you receive an access code to unlock the full app. This code is for your personal use only. Please do not share it with others. We reserve the right to deactivate codes that appear to be shared across multiple users.
Subscription and payment
- Memberships are billed monthly (£2.99) or annually (£24.99) via Stripe.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can cancel at any time through the member portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
- We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by UK consumer law.
- Skill Packs are one-off purchases and are permanently owned. They are not refundable once purchased, except where required by law.
14-day free trial
Where a free trial is offered, it begins when you subscribe and ends after 14 days. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. After 14 days, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged.
What you can and cannot do
You can use Nana for personal, non-commercial cooking guidance. You cannot:
- Share your access code with others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the Nana product or its AI responses
- Use Nana for any unlawful purpose
- Resell or redistribute access to the service
AI-generated content
Nana's responses are generated by an AI system. While we work hard to make Nana's guidance accurate and helpful, AI systems can occasionally produce incorrect or incomplete information. You should always use your own judgment, particularly regarding food safety, allergens, and dietary requirements. We are not liable for any harm resulting from following Nana's suggestions.
Nana sometimes presents made-up statistics for humorous effect, clearly labelled "Stats made up by Nana." These are not factual claims and should not be taken as such.
Availability
We aim to keep Nana available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the service down for maintenance or updates. We will aim to give notice where possible.
Changes to the service and pricing
We may update or change features of the service over time. We will notify existing members by email of any significant changes or price increases before they take effect, giving you the opportunity to cancel.
Intellectual property
The Nana name, logo, blob character, and all content on this website and in the app are owned by us. You may not use them without our permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Nana is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
